ACAT (Action by Christians Against Torture) Easter List. ACAT have provided a list of prisoners of conscience to whom they invite cards and messages of support at Easter to be sent to those endangered and/or persecuted for their Faith; this list is attached and also appears on our website. NB. Please follow closely the advice and recommendations made by ACAT in order to avoid unnecessary further difficulties for these prisoners.
Saturday 5th March: Retreat Day at St Mary’s College, Oscott, Sutton Coldfield. Led by Fr Hugh Sinclair, Spiritual Director at Oscott, from 10.30am until 4.30pm with Vigil Mass for Sunday. Organised jointly by the Birmingham Justice and Peace Commission and Caritas Archdiocese of Birmingham. Open to anyone committed to Justice and Peace and Catholic Social Action. The fee will be £10 per person to cover running expenses; please bring food for a shared lunch. Tuesdays March 1st, 8th, 15th, and 22nd: Four study sessions on Laudato Si' run by Holy Trinity (Newcastle) Cafod Group, following Cafod's Study Guide. At Coolock Pastoral Centre, Stubbs Gate, Newcastle under Lyme, ST5 1LH. Each session is from 7.15pm to 8.30pm. Everyone will be welcome,
Tuesday 22nd March: Birmingham Christian Homelessness Forum. Next meeting is at 10.30am to 12 noon at South Aston United Reformed Church, Upper Sutton Street, Birmingham, where there is plenty of parking. Agenda and further details nearer the time.
