Tuesday 26th April: “News from the Jungle” – organised by the Central England Asylum Group, come to hear two Quakers who work regularly at the Calais camps eyewitness accounts of life in “The Jungle”. At 7pm in the Priory Rooms, Bull Street, Birmingham.
Friday 29th April: Concert with two Cellos, with Elaine and Ulrich Heinen, at 2pm in St. Chad’s Cathedral; donations to St. Chad’s Sanctuary please.
Friday 20th May: “A first step towards Understanding Islam” with Dr.Chris Hewer, Chaired by Sr Margaret Walsh. From 7.30pm to 9.15pm in St, Mary’s Priory, Vivian Road, Harborne B17 ODN.
Tuesday 7th June: "Standing in the Gaps" event organised by Birmingham Churches Together in partnership with Thrive Together Birmingham, Housing Justice and the Birmingham Christian Homeless Forum. From 6 to 8pm at South Aston United Reformed Church, Upper Sutton Street, Aston, Birmingham B6 5BN, with light buffet available on arrival. Are you passionate about impacting homelessness across our city region? The number of people sleeping rough on our streets has been increasing – how are we responding? This networking event offers an opportunity to connect with others and find out what is happening, discover new resources, ideas and opportunities, and to learn about the Birmingham Christian Homeless Forum. Wednesday 20th April: “Learning for Peace” book launch.
Peacemakers invite you to attend a book launch/resource designed to support Spiritual, Moral, Social and Cultural development in schools. It is packed full of activities and games and will share approaches and techniques that form the mainstay of our work in Peacemakers that schools in the West Midlands have been enjoying for 30 years. The book is further supported by a website with resources to download.

Thursday 21st April: “Stories From Peru”- an opportunity to hear from Alice Bowers, CAFOD’s ‘Step into the Gap’ volunteer, about her recent trip to visit CAFOD projects and communities in Peru. Thursday 28th April: Creators of Peace - Peace Circle Taster.
From 10am-12 noon at Peace House, 19 Paradise Street, Oxford, OX1 1LD. A taster circle where we start with ourselves by discovering new tools for enhancing our own inner peace; exploring new skills to enable us to become effective creators of peace, which can contribute towards creating a stable society at home and abroad. Our circles aim to be inclusive and supportive spaces for all women and all those who identify as women.
