Dear friends, for your information and action where appropriate:

  1. 22nd to 25th October:  CARJ Urban Network -  Leadership for Social Change Residential Training

CARJ is organising a four-day Residential Training Workshop for activists and future Leaders, addressing issues of race, caste, religion and social class, at Maryvale Institute, Birmingham.

This Workshop will prepare participants to work more thoughtfully and effectively for social change – especially in those movements defined or inspired by issues of ‘race, caste, religion and social class’.  It is designed to appeal to local, national and international participants – especially those working or hoping to work in NGOs, the voluntary sector, community groups and faith-based organisations.  The Workshop will enable participants to gain:
  • some understanding of different traditions of  social thought

If you would like to apply to be part of the CAFOD delegation please contact the Birmingham office for an application form and information. The deadline is 10th September.

Please send completed forms to campaigns@cafod.org.uk or post them to Campaigns team, CAFOD, Romero House, 55 Westminster Bridge Road, London, SE1 7JB. More information can be found on the CAFOD website.
