Friday 5th February: “Ending Migrant Destitution” series: Birmingham
This year, we have all become acutely aware of the needs of refugees seeking sanctuary in countries across Europe. However, there is less known about people already in the UK, living within many of our neighbourhoods and in desperate need of help because they have not had access to the right advice and support in the past.
Homeless Link invite you to a crucial round table event for organisations based in the West Midlands, delivered in partnership with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF), bringing together the homeless services, migrant organisations and housing associations.
Organised by the Strategic Alliance on Migrant Destitution, this free event is part of the Ending Migrant Destitution series and will focus on practical solutions to end the destitution of non-EU migrants with no recourse to public funds. Further details at http://www.homeless.org.uk/events/regional/migration-birmingham
NB. This is a free event by invitation only and spaces are limited so please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
