Wednesday 17th June: “Speak Up for the Love Of” lobby of Parliament; a day of action, solidarity and celebration of all the things we love which are affected by climate change. CAFOD are organising this along with others in The Climate Coalition. It’s the chance to talk with our newly-elected MPs before December's crucial international climate talks. Together we can show our new government how much we care that climate change is pushing people deeper into poverty. There’ll be an ecumenical service, music, an art installation, celebrity speakers and, most importantly, the chance for us to speak to our MPs about the things that we love that will be affected by climate change.
Don’t worry if you’ve never met with your MP before – CAFOD will provide all the info you need. CAFOD Birmingham are organising/supporting coaches from Birmingham, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Wolverhampton and Coventry. See below:
Come to discover more, from 7pm to 9pm. at St Paul’s Convent Conference Centre, 94 Selly Park Rd, Selly Park, B29 7LL.
Speakers: Shari Brown (Restore), Fr Martin Newell CP (Austin Smith House, Sparkhill).
Everyone Welcome - please Email Sr Anna O’Connor at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, address, Email, and contact number.
