Tuesday 17th November: CAFOD Cup of Tea Meeting 10.45am for 11am start, until 1pm, at St Thomas More Church Hall, 142 Oxford Road, Kidlington, OX5 1DZ. We would love to meet you, hear what goes on in your parish and find out what we can do to support you and your parish more. If you are coming by car, please park in the church car park and walk round the pathway to the school and the hall is on your right. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Email egoodchild@cafod.org.uk ACAT (Action by Christians Against Torture) - the list is now available of prisoners of conscience, victims of torture, human rights groups and individuals under threat, and persecuted Christians, who need our support and our prayers in the form of greetings cards at Christmas by sending simple messages of goodwill and support to tell prisoners that they are not forgotten and that they are remembered in prayer. Two lists are attached as pdf documents but also available as Word documents if you prefer, just let me know. They will also be available to download soon from our J&P Commission website. NB. Please follow ACAT’s guidelines especially on the content of your cards, religious or otherwise, and not to express political views, all in order not to cause further difficulties. Wednesday 16th December: "Blessed Oscar Romero, His life and legacy". Stafford Justice and Peace Group are hosting an Advent talk by Julian Filochowski, chair of the Archbishop Romero Trust on the life and legacy of Blessed Oscar Romero.
