Monday 25th to Friday 29th July: “Small Footsteps”. Young people in Birmingham are warmly invited to a week long interfaith workshop for 8 to14yrs of age, exploring how all faiths can contribute towards protecting the environment. From 9am to 3:30 pm each day, featuring activities around different aspects of the environment including: Ecology, Trees, Climate Change, Recycling, Food, Cycle of Life, Energy, Bees & Nature. All children will meet each day at Birmingham Central Mosque, and transport will be provided to the following faith centres before returning to Central Mosque at the end of the day: Birmingham Central Mosque, Birmingham Progressive Synagogue, All Saints Church (Kings Heath), Birmingham Buddhist Centre, Nishkam Centre. This workshop has been funded by grants from the Near Neighbours fund, Jubilee Debt Campaign and donations. We are not making a charge for this workshop, but welcome donations from parents towards the cost of future Small Footsteps activities.
