Sunday 2nd April: Survivors' Stories: testimonies from Hiroshima. Join the Network of Christian Peace Organisations to hear Hiroshima survivor Mrs Reika Yamada and Ms Midori Yamada tell their stories, a rare opportunity to meet people with first-hand experience of the devastation caused by nuclear weapons. Followed by Q&A. Also hear about the current UN negotiations on a treaty to ban nuclear weapons, to learn about what can be done now to prevent more disasters. At 2:15pm in Peace House, 19 Paradise Street, Oxford, OX1 1LD.
The event is free and you can turn up on the door, but it would be helpful to know rough numbers - please call 01865 250781. It is open to people of all faiths and none. The venue is wheelchair accessible, including the toilet.

Tuesday 25th April: Birmingham Christian Homelessness Forum next meeting at 10.30am in the Wiseman room in the Church at Carrs Lane, the room next door to the bookshop. Rebecca Wilkinson from Green Pastures is going to talk about their work. Agenda for the meeting nearer the time. Contact: Emma Neill, Shelter Project Coordinator(part time), Birmingham Homelessness Development Coordinator. Tel. 07584 426841. Email e.neill@housingjustice.org.uk Dates for our future Forum meetings will be on June 13th and September 14th, venues to be confirmed.

With best wishes as always,
David Jenkins
Administrator, on behalf of the Birmingham Justice and Peace Commission
